    Windows Vista – Blurred vision.

    Clear | Confident | Connected

That was the promise. The reality is far from it. Vista is turning out to be a huge disappointment. I was expecting something really big in Beta 2. But, in it’s just another CTP like build.

Why is the UI so inconsistant?
Why is the non-aero look so very bad?
Why are the colours so terrible to look at?
    WHAT WERE YOU THINKING????????

Message to Microsoft: Stop listening to the Geeks – they are ruining Windows!!!

Message to the Windows team: Speak to the Office12 (2007) team.

Prediction: Windows Vista UI is going to change.

I don’t have sources inside Microsoft (or outside Microsoft for that matter!), but I am going to make a bold (??) prediction here.

The final Windows Vista UI is going to change. Microsoft can continue to deny this as long as it wants (can), but the truth is that the UI in the CTPs is not what we are going to see in RTM. And I don’t mean some minor changes/updates to the UI here. They are going to give us a great new look.

Windows Vista 5308 up and running!!!

Finally finished downloading Windows Vista 5308 mage at 3:15 am today. Burnt it on to a DVD, started the setup and now, done with the installation!

    Initial impressions:
    a) The installation takes way less time when compared to 5270.
    b) The builld is much faster on the same hardware than 5270. The UI is much more refined too.

Will update some screenshots today evening.
